With a little determination...
After divorcing my husband of almost 25 years three years ago, I had just paid off the last of my $46,000 of "Marital Debt" that was agreed on in my Divorce. I took the kids out for dinner to celebrate (paying cash). The feeling of knowing that my tax returns, bonuses, longevity and overtime does not have to go towards debt and being able to take a long awaited vacation with my children is almost impossible to believe. All I have left is the house which I'm in the middle of refinancing (WITHOUT A CASH OUT) just to drop the interest rate from a 30 to a 15 year fixed and from 5.5% to 3% rate. Even with that, it's not even close to what I was paying out monthly. I thank Dave Ramsey's financial plan everyday because before the divorce, there was no dreams of ever getting out of debt and I was charging groceries just to make it. Now that I know where every penny I earn comes in and where it goes; I can't believe the amount of money I now have. I am extremely happy and at peace. Thanks Dave!!!
